This policy explains what personal information Caveat Scientia collects on clonecaveat.intellicent.in, how we use it, and the choices you have. Caveat Scientia is ad-free, and we never sell, rent or trade your personal information.
Who we are

Information we collect
- Newsletter and e-book forms: your email address and, if you give it, your name.
- Comments: your name, email address, optional website, comment text, IP address and browser details.
- Messages you send us: your name, email address and what you write.
- Usage data: pages viewed, referring site, approximate location, device and browser. This is collected by Google Analytics only if you accept analytics cookies.
How we use it
We use your information to send the newsletter or e-book you asked for, publish and moderate comments, reply to messages, understand which articles are read, and protect the site from spam. We rely on your consent for emails and analytics, and on our legitimate interest in running and securing the site. We do not use your data for advertising.
Newsletter and e-book
Emails are sent with MailPoet, and subscriber details are stored on our own website server. We only email you if you subscribed or opted in. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from our list.
Comments
Comments may be checked by Akismet, an automated spam filter. A hashed version of your email address may be sent to Gravatar to show your profile picture. Once approved, your name, comment and website are public. Your email address is never shown.
Analytics and cookies
We use necessary cookies to make the site work and remember your cookie choice. If you accept, we also use Google Analytics cookies to measure visits. If you tick the box when commenting, your details are saved in a cookie for one year. You can change your choice at any time with Cookie Settings in the footer. Third-party services
We use the following services, which receive only the data they need: Google Analytics and Google Fonts (Google), Jetpack, Akismet and Gravatar (Automattic), MailPoet, and AddToAny share buttons. Some of these providers process data outside your country, including in the United States, under standard legal safeguards. Embedded content from other sites, such as videos, behaves as if you visited that site directly.
Sharing your data
We share personal information only with the services listed above, or when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Subscribers: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data.
- Comments: kept indefinitely, so we can approve your follow-up comments automatically.
- Messages: kept only as long as needed to reply.
- Analytics data: deleted automatically after 14 months.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, including the EU, UK and California, you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, object to how we use it, get a copy of it, or withdraw your consent. Email contact@clonecaveat.intellicent.in and we will reply within 30 days. EU and UK visitors can also complain to their local data protection authority.
Children
This site is not aimed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us their data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
